I was born in Flixton, Manchester and moved to Colwyn Bay, North Wales in 1988. I now split my time between Colwyn Bay and Manchester, whilst studying a BA in Television and Radio at Salford University. I'm outgoing, friendly and enjoy motivating other people. I also enjoy working on my own.

I have a keen interest in music of all kinds but particularly rock, metal, punk and a nice bit of classic soul. I have earned grade 3 in piano and I now enjoy playing the guitar and bass.

I have always had a love of outdoor activities such as skateboarding and abseiling and have earned Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards whilst at school. I was also a regular line dancer for 2 years before starting Uni!

I am currently presenting regularly on my local Hospital Radio Station as well as being regular news reader on Internet Radio Station Erewash Sound.

Work Experience and Qualifications:

December 2006 to date - Radio Newsreader
Voluntary position as a newsreader for Internet Radio Station Erewash Sound on Saturday 4-8 and Sunday 2-7. My responsibilities are:

January 2007 - Granada TV
I recently had work experience at Granada TV on the Jeremy Kyle Show. I hope to return as a runner in the future.

September 2006 - XFM Manchester
I was given a 2 week work placement at XFM Manchester on the Breakfast show. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and undertook many tasks including making music beds and jingles in Adobe Audition, ringing up competition winners, editing past shows and contributing to ideas for on-air topics.

2004 to date - Hospital Radio
Voluntary position as presenter and DJ for local Hospital Radio. My responsibilities are:

2001 to 2005 - Safety Media Ltd
4 1/2 Years work from January 2001 to August 2005. Originally I was employed by Clogau Gold as their Web Designer/Mac Operator, but as the sister company Safety Media Ltd expanded I transferred over and took on the role as main Web Designer.

I regularly received good feedback regarding the design of the above websites from customers. My responsibilities were working on my own initiative and meeting tight deadlines. I often worked over-time when required.

1999 - 2001 - Marine Hotel
3 Years work from October 1999 to January 2002. I worked in a busy bar and restaurant whilst studying at college for my BTEC in Graphic Design. I was given many responsibilities which included:

I left this job on completion of my college course to take up full time employment.

Education History and Skills:

2005 to date - Salford University
I am currently at Salford University studying a Television and Radio Degree. I am heavily involved with the University Radio Shock Radio, where I am Head Of Music on the Executive Committee. I also won the 'Best Newcomer' award at their awards ceremony in November!

I also have a weekly column in the Salford Student Direct newspaper and review artistes and Bands on a regular basis.
